Mama's Dress

Leilah was suppose to get dedicate this month but we had to push it back because she was sick. This is her in my Christening Dress.

LEILAH

SYNIAH (Not a very formal picture.)
MAMA

I really hope she still fits in it when the time comes for her to get dedicated. I am not counting on it though. She will be 9 months by then. Niah wasn't able to get dedicated in it because it didn't fit her. She was also 9 months, but I really hope at least Leilah can. It's so special to see your daughter in something that you wore as a child. If anything at least I took some pictures of them in it. I am so blessed to have daughters. I am such a sentimental person and I think sharing special things like a dress or dolls that I had as a little girl are special between my Daughters and I. I don't think a boy would enjoy having his mom's doll handed down to him :)

(I look so much like Leilah in this picture, she looks a lot like me when I was a baby even when she is crying)

My Mom, Godparents and I
When choosing Niah and Leilah's Godparents we were sure to choose people who would always be there for the girls. Who would guide them and love them unconditionally. I don't remember my Godparents. They were never involved. I have pictures of these people but never had a relationship with them. I think to be a child's Godparent is such an honor and such a special job. We choose people who will show them God love and be involved in all their special milestones. We wanted Niah to have 3 fairy Godmothers. We knew right away who they would be and asked them when they came to see Syniah the day she was born. We knew these 3 would love Syniah like crazy. Tanya, Karen and Stephanie are Niah's Nina's. They have been my best friends for many years. They love Niah so much and she is so lucky to have them.  Leilah's Godparents are top secret because we haven't told them yet but they are also people who have loved Leilah since before she was born. Ervin is Lucky enough to have a relationship with his Nina and that is a very special thing. I hope our girls will always have a relationship with their Godparents.

Niah and her Godparents (Steph and Tanya)

Tanya, Stephanie, Mama, Dada, and Niah (Niah's dedication)
Nina Karen. She was not able to make it to Niah's dedication but she has been there for us and Niah since before Niah was born. Karen didn't have to be at the ceremony for Niah to know that she is an extra special person in her life. She has loved Niah with all her heart and their relationship together is so special and cute. Niah's face lights up when she sees her and that's the kind of relationship that I want for my girls. These women love my Daughter as if she was their own. It's so cute to see and I am blessed to call these women my Best Friends and my Family.

Karen and Syniah (By looking at their pictures you can tell they have a special relationship)

The park with Dada!

Today I needed sometime to take a shower and clean up without having a 2 year old pull on my leg or a 7 month old cry because she wants me to hold her. So................. Ervin took the girls to the park. They seamed to have had a good time because these are the picture he took..........

Beautiful Leilah Faith

Syniah and Leilah saying cheese for Dada

Lady wanted to get in on the action (I love this picture)

Lady relaxing..... Niah doesn't look too excited and Leilah and her model face

Kinda of a cool day so from what I heard Niah wasn't too excited about getting wet.
She said it was "cold agua."

The girls came back so tired! Niah fell asleep sitting up!

Thank you Dada for taking these girls to the park! They had lots of fun and they napped for 3 hours!!

YUMMY YUMMY

(LEILAH EATING HER FAVORITE STAR PUFFS)
Before she gets too old and I forget, I thought I'd list Leilah's food preferences in order of favorite to least favorite (that she's tried so far). We are trying to stay Organic until Leilah turns 1. So she mainly eats EARTH'S BEST ORGANIC. I feel as though the first year of life is so important and that anything that enters a babies body should be natural to avoid any kind of contamination. It's so hard once they get into their toddlers years because as we learned with Niah they became more aware with fast food (MC DONALDS!!) and attend lots of parties and I don't believe in depriving a child of the childhood favorites (cake....chicken nuggets...ice cream). I try my hardest with both girls to keep it healthy if I can help it :) and because of that Niah rather have a salad and fruit than a burger and french fries :)
So for now here is Leilah's list of likes and dislikes

YUMMY
****** SHE LOVES LOVES LOVES GERBER PUFFS AND GERBER WAGON WHEELS*******

1. Formula mixed with oatmeal or rice cereal
 2. Squash
3. Carrots
4. Sweet Potatoes
5. Banana and Raspberries

OKAY
 6. Pears
7. Yogurt and Oatmeal
8. Bananas

UNSURE
 9. Avocado (this was the very first food she tried)

DISGUSTING
 10. Turkey and Vegetable (She literately gagged and wouldn't open her mouth)
11. Strawberries (whole inside of her little netting)

CAN'T EAT DUE TO ALLERGY: Applesauce

We try everything at a few three times in hopes that she'll at least develop a taste for different things And when we move to actual real food, we are pretty confident she'll like things that she didn't like as baby foods. Niah loves all foods but now hates avocado but loved it as a baby.

LIKE I SAID.....I TRY MY HARDEST TO KEEP THEM EATING HEALTY :)

Look what I woke up to this morning...

I was woken up this morning by little fingers pinching my face. Look who it was..............................

HAPPY LEILAH FAITH!!

She woke up smiley and so happy this morning. Thank You Jesus! It's been exactly a week since she woke up with 103.6 fever. A whole week of no sleep and a very uncomfortable baby girl. I was so happy to be woken up by those tiny little hands. That showed me right away that my playful happy girl was back. She is a very strong little girl.

Very beautiful huh?? Look at those eyes :)

Finally.............A smile!

The medicine must be working! She finally smiled this morning. Such a good feeling. She is still a bit whiney and irritable but we are making progress. It's been a week since I have seen her smile so I will take what I can get :) Love this baby girl.

Back to the ER

Back to the ER tonight. Leilah got an infection due to the antibiotics. She has been so miserable. I hope this is the last time we come back here. I hope that this medication works and that she can sleep tonight. It's been a rough week. The thing that keeps me from falling apart is that "I can only imagine what she is going through" I have to remind myself of that. I have to remind myself that she needs me and that as tired as I am or when I get frustrated....I am her Mama. She needs me.

Prayer tonight
A better night sleep. Peace and comfort for my Leilah.
                                                     Amen

STILL SICK

Pneumonia is no joke. It has really gotten the best of my smiley Leilah Faith. I feel like its been forever since I have seen her smile. She is so whiny and sad. She sleeps only to wake up every 20 minutes and cry. I wish I could take it away. Tomorrow is her last day on antibiotics but the doctor says it will be about 10 days before it fully runs its course and we go next Thursday for a chest x-ray. So no sleep for both of us. I just hope she gets better soon. She seams so irritable and sad. Jesus heal our little Ladybugs body and make her smily again. -Amen

Pneumonia

Leilah's diagnoses is Pneumonia. Exactly what we didn't want. She didn't like the hospital. She as so sad there and so tired. Lots of poking and she hated the X-ray. Gosh. I hated the X-ray. They wanted her arms straight up and wanted her to stay still. A 7 month old! Not a good time. She has been burning. 104.3 fever today. Breaks my heart. God please heal my little Leilah-bugs body. I can't have her endure this pain and I don't think I can stay strong much longer. She is such a sweet baby and to not see her smile hurts me. Niah is staying with Nana to help avoid her from getting sick since the doctor said Leilah is contagious. So we are here............

#1. Not in our own home
#2. Leilah is burning
#3. We are tired
#4. Missing Niah
#5. Haven't seen Leilah smile
#6. Sad

My prayer tonight is that Leilah sleeps. That God puts his healing hand over her. We get some sleep. That he is working on our heart's desires (get a home soon).
                                                                                         Amen

Been here before

Leilah is in the hospital with 104.5 fever we are in urgent care she just had a chest x-ray....God please heal her little body and let this be something minor :-( Really hope we don't get admitted tonight. As a parent to see your baby in the hospital hooked up to monitors is something you don't want your child to endure. Been here before with Syniah and pray this isn't the case again. We love our little Leilah The Lady Bug. She is not a happy camper today. Big sister is at cousin Brayleens. Hope we get to pick her up tonight :-(

The Simple Things in life

Moments like this help me to remember my soul purpose.... to be their Mama: ) I am so proud of the person they are becoming. Some days are more chaotic than others but moments like this watching them sleep together makes my heart melt and make those chaotic days worth it: )
