BITTERSWEET

We have had several sleepless nights the past couple weeks....all leading up to this evening. We were at In and Out after Ervin's softball game and Leilah was being fussy. I put my finger in her mouth to see if that would soothe her and without being prepared I got poked! By her two little teeth :( They finally broke through. It makes me sad. She is growing up and I hope I am taking it all in because it is happening so fast. 6 months old with two teeth............. Whats next? Crawling? Sitting up? I am happy to see the little teeth but sad because it's a reminder that she will never be teethless again. That's something that makes her a baby. Well my big girl has two teeth as of today. Suprised, Happy, and sad all at the same time.....

Father's Day 2010

Syniah and Leilah, one day when you read this, I hope you know how wonderful a daddy you have! You have no idea how much he loves you both and how much our lives have changed since you both have come into our world. To celebrate your Dada's special day, we went to the lake and you both were such good girls! You both love Mama very much but light up when you see your Dada. Losing my Dad at a young age I have always longed for a Father/Daughter relationship but watching you girls love your Dada and watching him love you has helped me know and understand that relationship and love. Never take it for granted because it's such a special thing. You two are some lucky little Ladies :)
Love,
Mama

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Today we went to Silverwood Lake to celebrate Father's Day. The weather was great. Things turned out so nice. We grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken. There were a bunch of snacks and sweets to eat. Such a fun day. It is so nice to be surrounded by loving Dads who genuinely love being fathers. I am especially thankful for the Father that Ervin  has become. He loves his girls unconditionally. I watch him with the girls and couldn't be more thankful for having him be the Dada of these baby girls.
The way we started out our day.......(it was windy) What a good Dada :)
The kiddies had fun in the sand

Ummmmmmmmmm........wasn't the best grill :) but it did the job! Thanks Fatima. Next time I think we will need a better grill. Then maybe it won't take hours to grill a few burgers :)

Dada and his girls on his 3rd Father's day! They are so lucky to have a Dada like him.

The guys taking their kiddies for a ride around the lake while the ladies cook :)

Mama and happy baby Leilah

We had a great day! Now time to give Dada his presents we bought him
The girls took pictures in Dada's ties and shirts and gave him a Willow Tree.
We love you Dada!

Today was a good day

Leilah-bug and Niah had a great day today. Niah snuggled all morning and took a good nap. She played outside a lot today. Some much needed sensory playdough time! Leilah started her morning with cereal and bananas. She ate her entire bowl. She was a smiley giggly girl. Three long naps.....Tummy time..... and time in Big Sister Sister's room. I got a glimpse of my girls two years from now, playing together. Niah is so in love with Leilah is really melts my heart. I was so worried about how she would react to a baby in the house but now I couldnt see Niah live a day without Leilah by her side. She is always worried when she hears Leilah cry "Mama Yea-yah cry mama" and she always so loving and motherly towards her "Hi mamas, what you doing mamas" is something she says to her often. There are times when Niah doesnt like to share with Leilah and now that Leilah is grabbin everything Niah isn't so happy when Leilah grabs her things. "No Yea-Yah mine!" So it really is a sister relationship they have already. I love watching it though. Tonight we went to the Corbett house to watch the Laker Finals. Syniah and Dada went first and Leilah and I met them there a little bit later and the minute we walked through the door Niah is worried if Leilah is sleeping. She is such so motherly. As I drove home tonight with my baby girls in the car I fell more in love with them. Just thinking of what beautiful girls they are and their personality and who they will become makes me love them and Thank God for giving me such precious girls. Today was definitely a good day......
