Think my sleeping days are over

She hasn't slept for days. She is super whinny and congested....................I think we will make a doctors trip ASAP! Cause I need sleep............and she needs sleep...................

Maybe I will never sleep again :(

Very Very Sick baby. Leilah has been up crying day and night. Congested, runny nose, but no fever. She is not happy at all. Definitely not herself. Looks like there is a trip to the doctors in our future. I am just so tired. God give me the strength, energy and patience to be there for my sick little girl. We are both tired. Heal her body. Amen.

Big girl carseat

Leilah converted to her big girl car seat about 2 weeks ago. Makes me sad. When you put your baby in a big girl car seat you know they are growing up. No longer that little baby that could barely fit in the carrier car seat as a newborn when you left the hospital. She definitely is growing up! I thought the car seat would help to decrease her tantrums in the car but that was only a thought cause it sure didn't become a reality. She still screams from the minute we get into the care until we reach out destination. She has done that since she was born and I guess will do that until........who knows when! She does look cute in this car seat though...........
Don't you just want to kiss this baby girl??

Leilah's First Birthday Family Celebration!!

Today is Leilah Faith's First Birthday. We had plans to go to Disneyland but it was the most stormy day I have seen in a really long time but we didn't let that get in the way of celebrating her big day and making it special.  We got a hotel and made it a two day celebration. We started it off by Mc Donald's in out room and cartoons. We all took a nap before we headed to Goofy's Kitchen. Niah was super excited and she really scored.........it was kind of like her Birthday. I think Leilah is still too little to fully grasp this Birthday thing but she loved the Disney Characters (when they didn't get too close to her).

Family picture time in the Disneyland hotel.

!!LEILAH'S FIRST BIRTHDAY CUPCAKE!!
We sang

She reached

She grabbed

She bite

She loved!! She really enjoyed her cupcake!

To My daughter on her First Birthday

My sweet Leilah Faith,

Today is your very first birthday and as I think of you and your beautiful smile and your big almond eyes I fall in love with you deeper and deeper each and every day.
When I think of you I think of a quiet sweet girl who has always surprised me. Who entered my life in a blink of an eye and has grown faster than I can keep up with. From the day I found out that I was expecting you, you have kept me on my toes wondering, what is coming next? I thought you would be a boy but secretly in my heart I wanted another little girl so bad, not just for me but for your big sister Syniah. When I found out you were a girl I was so excited. I never imagined I would have a daughter but God gave me TWO! I was so scared when I found out I was expecting you I couldn't imagine loving someone else and I couldn't imagine Syniah even becoming a big sister but guess what??????

Syniah is a BIG SISTER and a really good one! And I love you more than you can ever imagine.

I remember so clearly meeting you for the first time, which was one year ago today. The doctor pulled you out and held you up, and when I saw you for the first time, I still couldn't believe you were MY daughter! I was very emotional during your birth. Tears rolled down my face the entire time. You came out crying cried made mama cry because I had waited so long to meet you and hear that sound. You looked exactly like your big sister. Your skin was so light, your hair dark and you had those amazing almond eyes. I fell in love with you instantly. Any doubt of not being able to love the way I loved Syniah instantly went away and my heart stretched for you.  In that moment, I knew I was your mother and you were my daughter and you would change my life forever…

You had colic the first couple of months which made thing a bit hard. It wasn't easy to take a care of a 19 month old and a newborn but it all worked out. I didn't pull all my hair out and I didn't put any CHILDREN FOR SALE adds out. This year has been a roller coaster. You had colic and you develop pneumonia but through it all you were a fighter and I always knew your irresistible smile would prevail in the end.  You have brought me so much joy. You have been my SUNSHINE. You have such a soft personality but very strong willed. NANA says you are exactly like me as a baby. Sweet but strong.

At 1 year old you.........

  • Wave HI
  • You climb on everything you can
  • say Mama, Dada, Niah, Back-Pack, Ball, Apple
  • Give kisses
  • Clap
  • Crawl
  • Dance
  • say "Cheese" and squint your eyes
  • Sign language "more"
You and Syniah have this amazing relationship that grows more and more everyday. I have loved watching you both grow together and love each other. Your bond is so special I hope you two grow up not only to be sisters but Best friends.

You have developed into such an amazing little person already. You are so sweet. You analyze people when you meet them and don't open up right away like Syniah but you are kind and gentle-hearted. They say the eyes are a window to a person’s soul and you’ve got the most breath-taking eyes. You have a gentle and wise spirit already…my little “old soul.” You have made this world a better place for being in it and I feel so honored to have been chosen to be your mama.

Love,

Your proud Mama

Happy New year and Happy Birthday my Sweet Leilah Faith.
